Weapon of Choice - Drill Specialist

So my weapon of choice when I play BioShock 2 is of course the Alpha Series's Drill. :3 I sort of have a love-hate relation with the "Drill Specialist" Tonic because using the drill along with the hack tool is a fun challenge, but I end up missing using the other weapons. The machine gun is just as cool when it's fully upgraded, bullets ricocheting all over the place and all. But the fact that Plasmids use even less eve with the tonic is a reason good enough for me to stick with the tonic.

Modeled the actual drill bit at a separate occasion, around three months ago, the rest I did throughout the last two days. The helix was surprisingly tough to create. I ended up carving a cone with a helix spline and then extracted the polygons that made the spiral, extruding them, smoothing the spiral, and put them on top of a new cone shape, attaching them together so that they were the same object. The rest of the drill I used the symmetry modifier a lot to do 1/4 of the work.

Drill concept belongs to 2K Games. Modeled in Autodesk 3Ds Max 2012. Used Arch & Design textures with mental ray rendering engine.
